Synopsis via Goodreads:
The Horseman is unending,
his presence shan’t lessen.
If you break the curse,
you become the legend.
Washington Irving and Rip Van Winkle had no choice but to cover up the deadly truth behind Ichabod Crane’s disappearance. Centuries later, a Crane returns to Sleepy Hollow awakening macabre secrets once believed to be buried deep.
What if the monster that spawned the legend lived within you?
Now, Ireland Crane, reeling from a break-up and seeking a fresh start, must rely on the newly awakened Rip Van Winkle to discover the key to channeling the darkness swirling within her. Bodies are piling high and Ireland is the only one that can save Sleepy Hollow by embracing her own damning curse.
But is anyone truly safe when the Horseman rides?
My Review: 5 stars
So here is how this is going to go down
I am going to quickly write this review then go ahead and get started on Raven because
I need its right now
This was beyond unique, this blown past that and beyond.
I am always up for an original story, something that I can’t even begin to fathom how the author could think of something so …. different.
Thank you Stacey Rourke for doing just that and more.
This is story telling at its finest. Not only are you throw into the story with practically wearing your 3d glasses but its in high def as well 😉
You will laugh, pee your pants, and swoon just a little bit…not necessarily in that order but possibly as well so i recommend have a fresh pair of undies with you
I can’t get over the amazing story that was unraveled in this book. Not only taking on the legend for a whole new thing but also keeping to the story we all know so well but telling it in such a fresh way that it feels new all over again.
Ireland! Omg what a character. So alive, charming, strong – much like a certain person I know. This character came to life and just tore through everything like a raging bull. She had sass, smarts, and a killer attitude. She is undoubtedly strong with her own reservations.
Rip was such an interesting fun character, he was the comic relief and the worrying father-figure of wisdom all at the same time. I enjoyed him and I cannot wait to see what he will do next ^.^
I think that this was an addicting read that will keep you gripped until the end.
