He only needs three nights to make her his …

With more heart than sense, fearless, beautiful Zoey has saved countless college-aged women from horrifying deaths at the hands of supernatural sadists. She may be a mere half-succubus in a society that views half-breeds with derision, but she still retains the highest rescue rate of any Hunter in the Sucubatti society.

As the calm, disciplined leader of the Incubatti Enforcers, Declan is the polar opposite of Zoey – and the sworn enemy of her society. Forced to rescue her one night, Declan realizes two things: he doesn’t need someone as wild and independent as Zoey in his life – and he can’t live without her.

In this world, there’s only one incubus for every sucubatti and Zoey and Declan are stuck with each other. They’re just as likely to kill each other as they are to yield to each other’s sex magic.

She has authority issues and drinks too much. He is the irresistibly sexy incubus pre-ordained to tame her. Neither can fight their intense attraction, and yet trusting each other is out of the question.

What happens when their worlds crash down around them?

Strike three. You’re mine.

Review with some SPOILERS

Team R:
Does not play well with others. Failure to respect authority.
Outbursts of violence towards other Halflings.
Either cannot or will not follow instructions.

Zoey: Was a halfling (half-Succubus). She fought Cambions (Incubis’ offspring) with her teammates. She lived with her boyfriend Eric because it was the only thing that made her feel “normal.” Zoey was a really bad-ass character but at the same time I found her very childish (sometimes she acted like a selfish brat). I love to read about strong female heroines but sometimes “strong” females are portrayed as very difficult characters because sometimes they don’t listen! Zoey had a little bit of that, but I really liked her.

Declan: An Incubus and Zoey’s soul mate (even though he doesn’t really want to be Zoey’s mate at the beginning), he met her three years ago but he hadn’t even talk to her hoping that if he evade her; he wouldn’t have to complete the three mating stages. I loved him and I also loved his brothers (their conversations were kind of fun). I liked when he interacted with Zoey and how he teased her.

“I don’t care! You and I were a couple. That meant we weren’t sleeping around, making out with or kissing other people!”
Poor guy, I really felt bad for him. The worse thing is what she told and thought about Eric’s statement: “She hadn’t really thought of it that way. She’d sworn not to cheat, which meant sleeping around. The rest…well, she took some pleasure in it.”
I know she’s a half-Succubus, but that poor guy didn’t deserve to be with her just she could broken his heart in tiny little pieces. However, after this happened she realized that Eric was too good for her and blah blah. So, I kind of “forgive” her.

The Professor: Was that kind of men who are very philosophical and said things like Yoda from Star Wars:
Or like the ‘Wise Man’ from Sucker Punch:
But he also was really fun to read when he interacted with Zoey or Declan. I felt sad for him because I think he’s not telling the truth about what’s really happening to him (probably because he doesn’t want to hurt Zoey or something like that).

Olivia: She was the IAB’s chief…she controlled most things. This stupid betch character was really clever. I hated her.
later, this psycho went all:
On Zoey so she could trust her to defend her own “family” (even against Declan) and I was like:

But then, it turned out that, indeed, Zoey was kind of like Olivia’s “daughter” because she used her DNA to create her.

What I liked:
-There’s action, romance, drama and suspense.
-Zoey was a bad-ass character.
-Bets among characters (they were hilarious).

What I didn’t like:
-Sometimes they explained things over and over again.
-Declan didn’t try to explain himself at the end!

The ending: I won’t spoil it LOL but I just:
So…yeah, I will read the sequel because it just cannot end up like that! I’m very interested to know what’s going to happen with the three races.
