Summary Via Goodreads:
Young Adult and Teen Reader voted Laugh-out Loud Series of 2012 & Author of the Year 2012 to Stacey Rourke! Whether she likes it or not, eighteen year old Celeste Garrett has come to terms with being the Chosen One. She knew having a “normal life” would be tricky, between intense training sessions and epic demonic battles, but she didn’t know at what cost it would come. That is, until a dear friend is harmed by the malicious forces hunting her. Now, she’d like nothing more than to retreat into a hermit lifestyle to prevent anyone else from getting hurt. But startling revelations, amazing new abilities, and mortifying moments in front of insanely hot guys won’t allow time for that. Soon, Celeste finds herself surrounded by darkness and wondering who she can trust-if anyone.
WHY WHY IN GOD’S NAME WOULD YOU END A BOOK LIKE THAT? Ohh oops…. hehe jumping the gun here.

First thoughts: So if you need to read the first book just to get to this book then damn well do it. I don’t know why you are waiting to read this. I really don’t get it. If you thought the first one was alright, you will think this is a million times, better and if you think, there is no WAY Stacey could out-do herself *shakes head* oh you poor, poor, one, OF COURSE SHE CAN, cause HOLY MOTHER FUCKING SHIT. ….Yup.
Thoughts on Plot: So we left book one, wondering did she stay or did she go? Well….:P hehe can’t tell you, find out for yourself. Anyways but OMGOSH if you thought that you had things figured out, you might have somewhat figured out but you don’t know everything, you don’t even know the half of it, book one was barely scratching the surface, and sources tell me that book three is going to kick your ass even more. Oh this was so good i don’t know how else to describe, the pace – amazing. I randomly woke up at 5 am this morning – not something normal people do right? Anyways so here i am wondering should i got back to bed? Try to sleep? Well that is the obvious answer, but i figured i would read a bit hopefully i could be able to fall asleep after a half an hour…um no….i HAD HAD HAD TO finish this. Other friends had read this book series a long time ago, and i FOOLISH waited this long i don’t even know why i must be crazy in the head…well i am but crazier. And you are too if you pass this book up, it’s insanely good. Anyways so going on with my story i kept bugging them, kept being like OMGOSH TELLLL ME, but they just said read. And so i did. I couldn’t finish this fast enough. So sososososo amazing. I loved it. So much love. And this really was interesting plot wise all these new characters are introduced and you are just wondering, who to trust, who not to trust? All the while we are trying to live this life with Celeste, it’s not easy for her, and she makes the real damn hard decisions. Anyways we will get to that when we get to characters 😉 but such an amazing story line filled with action, adventure, kickassing, and romance.
Oh also MOTHERFUCKINGJESUS new questions are brought up in the near end of this book that will have you DYING to get your hands on the next one. I have it and i can’t write this review fast enough.
Celeste: She is going through a bit of a harder time. I think that her character while was very grown up in the first book she grew even more in this book, while also managing to keep at her actual age…doesn’t make sense? let me explain. She takes things very seriously, she has so much pressure on her shoulders that it is obvious its starts to weigh down on her. Yet there is also this side of her that is also explored in this book, as a new college student who just wants a normal life for a bit, to be that goofy, funny, ass girl who I ADORE. She is so real, somewhat awkward, quick with wit – not that fake kind where the guys just says she is, she actually is, even if she thinks her brain has stalled on her a bit. Oh my god i think was laughing my ass off more times than i can count! But this book also has very serious moments, and tones which i think Stacey has master the art of humor and seriousness and being able to flip between the two on a moment’s notice without it being awkward – and a lot of it comes from our girl Celeste – seriously she is one my favorite female MC’s of all time.
Gabe&Kendall: So I am doing them together because while they were still important in this book, they did sort of get pushed off to the side for most of it, it wasn’t like they disappeared it was just time for Celeste to deal with Celeste if that makes sense. So they were wonderful I loved them and ta-da!
Caleb: :O ummmm black hair, green-eyed, Irish-accented man. Need I say more? Seriously HOLY HOT MEN. I was like oohhh nooo poor Alec, but then this beautiful man opened his wonderful mouth and i was like Alec who? He was also a very well written character – accents are not an easy to to do, but I think Stacey it did fantastically, and all i could hear from this man was Irish, and he was also very well rounded. Can’t talk to much about him but…. DAMN SWOONY WORTHY. seriously. SERIOUSLY. He might be the only reason you might want to read this book but that is okay, its worth it 😉
Rowan: Damn. Damn. Damn. This blonde schemxy pirate. Oh yes you read right, PIRATE. i CAN’T wait to see what he has in store for us ❤
The end. Seriously you will need it. That’s all I can only hold out for so long, later kids i am off to read the third book :p
